Reading Community Energy Society Share Offer - Phase 4
Reading Community Energy Society has launched a new Share Offer to raise additional capital to extend its portfolio of Solar PV Systems and increase the positive impact it is having in the Reading area.
Building on the success of three previous Share Offers, on 18th May 2026, we launched a new Share Offer to raise £207,000 to fund 609 solar PV panels on the Reading Buses Depot building on Great Knolly’s Street. Due to very high level of interest, we are excited to now be able to extend this Share Offer, and are now seeking to raise £335,000 to fund the installation of a huge 960 solar PV panels on the Depot building.
This will increase our capacity by more than 40%, increasing our carbon impact savings, and generating more for our community benefit fund.
The Share Offer is open until 30th June 2026. The minimum investment amount is £200, and the maximum is £20,000.
Please read the Share Offer PDF document in full below, then click 'Apply Online' to be taken to our application form web page. If you would prefer a paper application form, there are instructions within the Share Offer Document.
